Uyuni Salt Flat & Desert

Day 1

Arrival day: Uyuni – Colchani

Arrival from the airport or bus station and transfer to the Uyuni city. Start the tour: Visit to the train cemetery , the Salt mounds, Eyes of water .the town of Coquesa, where we will visit its famous mummies (dated from the 700b.c.) and which preserve almost intact part of the skin, hair and fingernails), and small walk around the viewpoint of the Tunupa volcano, where we will observe the flamingos in the wetlands.
Lunch in the center of the salt flats (only dry season). Then, visit the Salt Museum built from salt and visit of the Incahuasi Island. We continue to Transfer to Colchani to overnight in Salt hotel.

Day 2

Colchani – Uyuni – Desert

Breakfast at hotel.
Visit the village of Colchani, where the processing of salt can be observed (drying, grinding and packaging of salt) you will also have the opportunity purchase handicrafts made of salt, San Cristobal Church, Ollague Volcano viewpoint, Cañapa and Hedionda Lagoons. Lunch on route. Arrival to the desert and overnight in a desert hotel.

Day 3

Desert Excursion

Breakfast at hotel.
Early in the morning we will start the visit Siloli Desert, to the Stone Tree (geomorphological formation from the mushroom rock type, due to the erosion caused by the wind. It outstands from a set of volcanic rocks), the Red Lagoon where the red of its waters is due to sediments from algae as well as zooplankton and phytoplankton which have the peculiarity of changing with the temperature, the Geysers (lava boiling intensely and steam which reaches up to 50 meters high), stop at the Hot Springs of Polques where we can enjoy nature and a refreshing and energetic bath in the middle of the desert. Lunch on route. Then, we will visit the Green Lagoon where we can see its impressive emerald color and the Licancabur Volcano.
Overnight in a desert hotel.

Day 4

Transfers out: Desert – Uyuni

Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Stone Camel, the lost city of Italy, the Mysterious lagoon, lunch on route and Rocks valley.
Return to Uyuni and transfer to the airport or bus station.

Día de llegada: Uyuni – Colchani

Llegada desde el aeropuerto o estación de autobuses y traslado a la ciudad de Uyuni. Comience el recorrido: visita al cementerio de trenes, los montículos de sal, los ojos de agua. La ciudad de Coquesa, donde visitaremos sus famosas momias (que datan del 700 a.C.) y que conservan parte casi intacta de la piel, el cabello y uñas), y una pequeña caminata alrededor del mirador del volcán Tunupa, donde observaremos los flamencos en los humedales.
Almuerzo en el centro de las salinas (solo estación seca). Luego, visite el Museo de la Sal construido a partir de la sal y visite la Isla Incahuasi. Seguimos transfiriendo a Colchani para pasar la noche en el hotel de sal.

Dia 2
Colchani – Uyuni – Desierto
Desayuno en el hotel.
Visite el pueblo de Colchani, donde se puede observar el procesamiento de la sal (secado, molienda y envasado de sal), también tendrá la oportunidad de comprar artesanías hechas de sal, la Iglesia de San Cristóbal, el mirador del volcán Ollague, las lagunas de Cañapa y Hedionda. Almuerzo en ruta. Llegada al desierto y alojamiento en un hotel del desierto.

Día 3
Excursión al desierto
Desayuno en el hotel.
Temprano en la mañana comenzaremos la visita del desierto de Siloli, al árbol de piedra (formación geomorfológica del tipo de roca de hongo, debido a la erosión causada por el viento. Se destaca de un conjunto de rocas volcánicas), la laguna roja donde el rojo de sus aguas se debe a sedimentos de algas, así como al zooplancton y al fitoplancton que tienen la peculiaridad de cambiar con la temperatura, los géiseres (lava hirviendo intensamente y vapor que alcanza hasta 50 metros de altura), se detienen en las aguas termales de Polques donde Podemos disfrutar de la naturaleza y de un baño refrescante y enérgico en medio del desierto. Almuerzo en ruta. Luego, visitaremos la Laguna Verde, donde podremos ver su impresionante color esmeralda y el Volcán Licancabur.
Pasaremos la noche en un hotel del desierto.

Día 4
Traslados de salida: Desierto – Uyuni
Desayuno en el hotel.
Visite Stone Camel, la ciudad perdida de Italia, la misteriosa laguna, almuerzo en ruta y el valle de Rocks.
Regreso a Uyuni y traslado al aeropuerto o estación de autobuses.
