WHY GALAPAGOS?
It is considered the “living laboratory of evolution” because the animals and plants from far away that populate these volcanic islands meet very different environmental conditions from their original homes.
The species had to adapt quickly to that change and evolve to survive, which is how new species were created. Meeting these unique species, in their natural, pristine environment, is a life experience with no equal. Galapagos is what it is, for being this “living laboratory of evolution” and being one of the islands with the most striking landscapes, pristine land and marine ecosystems, and a sanctuary of unique and captivating species.
